Yes, we lost a ball to a fox and two bags of chips to the crows, but that just adds to the character of the course! We ended up playing most of the round with staffers Dan and Sean; that just made the round that much better with their "local knowledge". Many thanks for a perfect afternoon of golf - you can be very proud of your staff and your golf course. I hope to be back before too much of the road is behind me. Simmonds Dear Harry: I wanted to thank you, Chris, Geordie, Mike and the rest of the staff at Fox Meadow for all of the cooperation and assistance we received before, during and after our Charity Golf Tournament on June 2. The interest shown by everyone at Fox Meadow and their genuine desire to make sure our tournament took place without a hitch was very evident and very much appreciated. As you know, we had a few meetings prior to the tournament to plan various aspects of the event and everything that you said would be done by your staff, was done, and was done well. Several times during the tournament itself, we asked members of your staff for additional assistance and every time the assistance was given with a smile. You should be very proud of your staff. I believe that the main reasons for the success of our tournament are paying attention to details and providing great customer service. I was approached by more than a few golfers who went out of their way to tell me that they were very pleased that our tournament takes place at Fox Meadow because of the great golf course and the professionalism of the staff. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Fox Meadow to anyone who wants to have a single game of golf or who would want to conduct a full tournament. Of course, the main reason for holding our Charity Golf Tournament is to raise funds and awareness for three deserving Island charities. We were thrilled to be able to raise a total of $30,000 which allowed us to present $10,000 cheques to the Canadian Cancer Society - PEI Division, the Heart & Stroke Foundation of PEI and the Children's Wish Foundation - PEI Chapter. Simmons On behalf of the 2006 QMJHL Draft Committee, and especially Socke MacDonald and myself, please accept and pass on to your staff a huge thanks for all you did to make Thursday a success. We received many compliments on all aspects of our golf tournament. From the pick up and delivery of people and clubs, pyramid golf balls on the practice tees, bilingual staff to help with the language, the condition of the course and the meals on the carts. I know of no comments that in any way were detrimental (other than the weather...we can't do it all) and for that you and your staff are to be commended. On a personal note Harry...and I know I speak for Socke, we were very impressed with how the staff at Fox Meadow conduct themselves and the attention given to all our requests sure made it look like we knew what we were doing. The professionalism that was displayed is certainly a reflection of management and we look forward to the opportunity of working with you in the future.
